JPC Foundation Inc. is a non-profit organization formed by Joint Purchasing Corporation (JPC) of New York to provide continuing education to providers and consumers in the healthcare community.

Are you linked to JPC?

JPC Foundation, Inc. was established by JPC. However, JPC Foundation has its own board of directors and is now an independent non-profit organization providing education materials and resources.

Didn't JPC merge with Amerinet? Does that mean JPC Foundation is part of
Amerinet?

No. JPC sold some of its portfolio assets and has a management services agreement on the rest of its contracts. Most importantly, JPC can avail its member participants of the benefits from Amerinet's resources. JPC Foundation has its own board of directors and is an independent, non-profit organization providing education materials and resources.

Can we take advantage of JPC Foundation services even though we are not a
member of JPC?

Yes, JPC Foundation is a non-profit organization offering the opportunity to receive education services, materials and resources to all healthcare professionals.

Is there a conflict of interest if you provide services to our
competition?

No. JPC Foundation works independently of the GPOs and may provide services to all interested parties.

What examples of on-line programs do you have?

JPC Foundation has done a wide variety of on-line programs including web-cast presentations and self-tests. JPC Foundation will work with you to make sure you and your team are satisfied and will receive a concise, interesting, educational program.

Do you provide custom program courses? Can you provide examples?

JPC Foundation will work closely with you as an Education Partner to make sure the program offered fits the needs of your team. This may include the type of program (live speaker, web-cast, CD-Rom), the topic, location, materials, audience, etc. We will work with you to make sure you and your team is satisfied and will receive a concise, interesting, educational program.

How are programs paid for?

JPC Foundation is a non-profit organization that relies on unrestricted grants and charitable donations to fund programs and do not accept advertising from the pharmaceutical industry or other supporters. We use the latest available resources in the industry including healthcare professionals, legislation and healthcare agencies to formulate quality educational programs that will stimulate, motivate and educate participants.

How many CEs have you provided to date?

We‚ve coordinated approximately 200 programs that offer continuing educational credit, and we continue to add new programs on a regular basis.

Do you have a list of speakers you work with?

JPC Foundation has a number of respected speakers that have provided services in the past that we will continue to work with in the future. However, we are always looking for exciting, new, respected speakers discussing topics that are of interest to the healthcare community.

What speaker programs have you done in the past?

JPC Foundation has conducted a variety of regional and national speaker programs from topics on Safe Medication Practices for pharmacists, OSHA sharps regulations for Infection Control Nurses, reimbursement symposiums for administrators, to food safety and sanitation for dieticians. As a consumer, do I have to provide a donation or grant to have access to JPC Foundation programs?

No. JPC Foundation offers programs in conjunction with various sponsors that benefit the consumer and are free of charge to the consumer. These have included such topics as safe medication practices. JPC Foundation will continue to expand on this aspect of our services in the future.
